The Faith That Can See Heaven
"That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth" (Deuteronomy 11:21)
As we trend heavenward, what we really find out is that heaven was in us all along. Our big discovery is our true identity in God, which is clearly written in Scripture, but only revealed to true disciples and real followers; the humble, the childlike, and the meek in heart. Yes, we may be born again, but we must 'see' that we are not of this world. Neither was Abraham, or Moses, or David, or any single person in the Old Testament church. It has always been God's heartfelt plan to restore those made in His image to sonship, which originated and will always remain from above.
We have been seriously crippled in our spiritual growth by very talented but natural "earth" minded ministers and teachers, or by our own indifference to the deep desires of God and His nature in us. But the day is upon us. We're at the Jordon river and we're headed for highlands because we have been baptized in the Holy Spirit and the Dove is with us. He is restoring our sight, and our glory.
"In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting for God, for whom and through whom all things exist, to make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through suffering" (Hebrews. 2:10)
